Possibly the best powder day in my career. Got up to killington the night before..Was hammered all day with fresh powder..Knee to waist deep everywhere...Patsys and Low Rider were unFNbelieveable!!! Thigh deep on Superstar. Rutland basically closed down that night had to eat convenience store sandwiches for dinner. Johnnypoach came up the next day and we harvested the leftovers.. Didnt get any pics those days  Anyone else got some VD stoke???

We got a foot out of that storm in central NY. I blew off work, my son had a snow day from school. We went to Greek Peak, made one run, they closed down the mountain, brown out. It must have been surreal to be in NE that day.

From the NOAA

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/btv/events/valentine2007/summary.shtml

" The one positive impact from this major snowstorm was the significant boost to winter sports enthusiasts and the businesses that benefit from such winter activities. The storm occurred prior to the start of the Presidents Day Holiday weekend and the start of school vacations across New England and New York. "

I was at Sugarloaf on Tuesday night for that storm. One of the best for sure. No one made it to the mountain because the roads were horrible.

Only time I've ever stayed at the Sunrise (slopeside) condos at Killington. Arrived as the first flurries were starting. Woke up to having to dig my way out the front door of the condo, and skied across the parking lot.

Everything went perfectly that weekend, and I got to make the only tracks down the South Ridge for a couple days skiing back to the condo (since the lifts were closed for winds).

K-1 and Snowdon were the only things running in the next day or two and K-1 went on hold a bunch, they roped off Great Eastern and were funneling people toward the Canyon and Snowdon.....but if you ducked the rope, you got to have ALL of Skye peak to yourself. I remember spending hours lapping that in deep powder drifts with not many people around.

Got about 48" at the Bush, give or take. Even the day after the skiing was pretty heavy. Here is my fav pic from my parking lot.

Randi and I were at Magic that weekend with some friends. One of the best ski days of my life. looking back I wish I was a better skier back then so I could have truely taken advantage of the conditions.

That video is so painful to watch as I have no days of skiing (nothing more than kid days and 1 night) in at my home hill Berkshire East (family obligations getting in the way).

Yes in the catskills it was four feet plus of best ski conditions for the decade, real packed powder for weeks after that great storm.
