New guy here...
Waterville Valley
Conditions - Loose Granular, Hard Pack, some ice.
Trip Report -
Arrived at 12:30 and got a half day pass. I was really surprised at how small the crowds were. We didn't have a to wait in a lift line longer then 2-3 minutes on the Summit Express Quad. Got to the top at 12:45, and after stepping off the quad i dreaded the worst. The top where everyone unloads the quad was pure ice. At the top of Oblivion, it was pure ice also. The rest of the run was good. Skied True Grit 3 times and there was some really good coverage there. No ice, which surprised me. Lower Bobby's was the run of the day. Though the moguls were closed, there was absolutely no ice, and great loose granular. Other runs like Rock Island, the top of Ciao, and Psyched Out were pretty bad. I have to get my edges sharpened as a couple of times, my skis skidded a lot and even fell out under me. Overall, a great day! No pictures, will get some next time.
