It's probably been asked before.....I'm sure, but figured I'd bring it up while dreaming of my next adventure with gravity during the season to come.
So, what do you ride and why do you love em?
My sticks:
2002 184 Rossi Bandit Single X - love em' for their versatility - great in the bumps, but still a decent carving ski at speed on packed snow.
1998 (?) Rossi Axiom 183 - I'm not sure of the year, but my buddy is a Rossi Rep and sold these at $100 a pair back in the epic winter of 2000 - 2001. They were a few years old at the time, hence the cheap price. They pre-dated parabolic techonology but the price was right and it seemed like EVERYONE in Stowe picked up a pair. Til this day I see MANY people still riding them on Mansfield. They will take you anywhere off piste wise like an old jeep willy.
Boots: Dolomite Sintesi 8.5 - The thing I love about these boots is the '5th' buckle. I have a very wide and flat forefoot, but rather narow ankles and calves. For years I skied Lange's that were a half size large on me to accomadate my forefoot yet still feel solid around my ankles and calves. The fifth buckle on the Dolomite finally allowed me to wear a boot that I could feel snug in the ankle and not swim in the forefoot.
So what's in your wallet/closet?
