Wilco: Ashes of American Flags

I've enjoyed them on the radio and a few years ago I got A Ghost is Born and Yankee Foxtrot but I was never gaga over them.

I watched the new Ashes of American Flags concert DVD recently and was blown away. They are a different band live. Now I'm going through a mega-Wilco phase. If you enjoy movies such as The Last Waltz or Stop making Sense I strongly recommend this flick.

finally got this from netflix. I thought it was ok - not as interesting as I Am Trying to Break Your Heart (chronicles the making of YHF) or Sunken Treasure to me... just played like a standard concert movie. But since I dig Wilco, still very good - perhaps a better introduction to the band than the other flicks.

Wilco is one of the best bands putting out new music & touring these days IMHO. I haven't seen Ashes but I've seen Wilco live twice over the last 3 years & Jeff Tweedy solo once. Great music & an excellent live band. Glad to hear there are other Wilco fans on AZ.
