    Well this week would be time to harvest the above woods. They hold snow well and are sheltered from any wind so the snow that falls will stay there.

    When I take delta I check the skis and carry the boots on board with my clothes in a carry on bag I travel light.

    I'd say just bring the recons. I ski just my chiefs at alta. The snow is soft enough to work 98mm underfoot on any terrain.

    dude you'll be fine. Don't sweat the weather. like Dr. jeff said- spring v. powder is really like deciding between awesome and awesome. I was there these dates last year. Some of the days were powder and some of the days were warm and sunny-- regardless both were stellar.

    Then you are missing out. Vapor barrier is a must for mountaineering so there's something to it. That's all.

    YEa...that's not a good black ...however there are some other cuts made that look awesome so I'm not complaining.

    It is bascially the same as a vapor barrier sock. YOu just have to take them off during the day and dry your feet. The idea behind the vapor barrier is that it keeps moisture from evaporating - which is a cooling process- thus it keeps all this warm moist air around the feet. Totally works...

    In a related item- has anybody hiked over and poached the newly cut trails? From what I have seen this year they look well covered and skiable.

    My toes are ALWAYS cold and the only thing that ever works is plastic bags- like thin grocery bags. Wear against the feet and then socks over that.
