    Your 2023-24 Ski Season Thread

Sugarloaf looks great. I just bought my first day ticket of the season for Saturday. And on to closing day at SR on Sunday. Might be a wrap after this weekend, but Killington will probably be calling.

    Skiing Passover (Mon / Tues)

Sugarbush is a maybe per recent snow report. They might go to weekends after Sunday. Sugarloaf should be the best, by far. I never count on Jay running the tram.

    Stowe Thread

Enjoy, it should be great. The last couple days skied fantastic. Nosedive is deep. Starr!

A basin end to the year? Not northeast but worth it?

A- Basin is almost always worth it. I easily find it to be the best spring skiing in Colorado. After about 15 spring trips, only one in a really bad snow year didn't work out great. The one bad year they had no snow and closed early, during our trip, but that was still early May.

    The NEW Magic Mountain

I had a great day Friday. Sixteen runs I think, didn't track. Great snow up high, but it did get moist on the lower third. Hit the good stuff early, then blew out an edge on Green line. After that, rocks really didn't matter. I now own yet another pair of rock skis. And no good ones. Time to shop.

    Sunday River 22-23

Jordan is open till the end, the last two weekends are out at Jordan now. This started last season. Except for no lodge, and no convenient bathrooms, it worked good for the actual skiing with all the Jordan snowmaking trails, as well as one run in Oz open.

    Wildcat and Attitash

I skied my only day there on Sunday of February school vacation week and the place was deserted. Basically ski on everywhere. Conditions were horrendous, my worst day of the season. (Full disclosure, my once or twice a year friend thought it was pretty good, but yuk). I do love the terrain when...

    Wildcat and Attitash

It looks like the Cat is opening for a bonus weekend, 4/19-21, according to an email from Ski NH. Sure beats Cannon closing 6 days early.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Running extension cords to charge an electric vehicle is expressly forbidden in my complex. Like yours, there is no assigned parking either, and you are not allowed to install a charging station. It would be impossible anyway.

EVs - New Hampshire gets it right

Definitely not in most condo associations. Certainly not at mine. Private home owners most definitely. This is one of the biggest issues with electric vehicles.

    Cannon Lover's Thread

Closing day was April 14, until it wasn't a few hours ago. F'd up. I've been expecting sellouts this weekend with the new snow expected.

    Cannon Lover's Thread

Looks like Cannon is closing Monday. That's a quick flip? Was planning to use my last day late next week.....oh well.

    Eclipse PSA

Thinking maybe Bolton for the eclipse. They're open 10-6, with a stoppage for the eclipse. Sounds just about right. Parking could be a concern if the weather cooperates and the crowds materialize, but arrive early I guess.... Indy days are unused. I was thinking Jay, but they're closing early...

    The NEW Magic Mountain

6 inches and 50 percent open. Not sure if that would be the case next week. I'd love to get in another midweek day if it happens. Lower mountain nats were basically done today.

    April weekend cowds

Yeah, top of Green chair down ripened just before noon, and the rest around 2. Better late than never.
