    Killington Season Passes

I'm worried about how this will shake out. My kid really wants to participate in the Killington ski club programs again next season, and I really want to give him that opportunity. But it sounds like it's going to be quite a hit on the pocketbook... :-( Sprite

How deep was the powder at Jay yesterday??? REALLY DEEP!

Jay was indeed unreal this weekend. I wanted to do the Dip, but was worried about having what happened to powers happen to me. I was so wiped out I could barely make the little hike to Beyond Beaver Pond, let alone 1/4 mile down the road! What a beautiful mountain, and you gotta love that Jay...

Where should i buy a ski pass for this year

I understand. :-) You know what we do? We take a 2 hr nap or so on Sunday after skiing and then leave around 7-8pm. Sure, we get home late. But I find I'm more rested this way. Sometimes we have slept as late as 10pm. Works out much better this way, plus far less traffic. Sprite

American Skiing Company - "Northeast Skier Visits"

I don't go on ski weekends for the shopping or dining and personally as long as there is some little bar to go grab a beer I'm happy. Who cares about a ton of little shops and restaurants? Look at Sugarbush, it doesn't have them, and gets along fine without them. Sprite

Where should i buy a ski pass for this year

I'm in Stamford and I make the haul to Killington almost every weekend! It's not so bad. I have gone to all the places you mention (except Jiminy) and while they are okay I cannot imagine getting a season pass there. You should just suck it up and make the drive...it's totally worth it and with...

    Advice about Killington needed

One other thing about purchasing Killington lift tix...you can stop at the bottom of the access road at that Killington shop (w/ the old gondi car in front) and purchase tickets there to avoid any waiting in line. Sprite

    Longevity

I think a lot of it is connected to genetics. Take a look at your biological parents and it will give you a good idea about the path you're heading down. Of course you can improve things with excercise, diet, etc. But the framework is in your genes. Thankfully I'm a female clone of my dad, who...

    Any skiers ever try snowboarding?

I own a board and am trying to learn. It is much more difficult to learn than skiing. Plus all that falling down on the learning curve hurts my butt... A LOT! I think I'll figure out the boarding thing in a few seasons. I'm still working getting the skiing thing down though. First things first...

    So Who Are You?

Good thread idea! :) I'm 40 yrs old, married to my college sweetheart, one boy 11yrs old. I'm forced to work as a webmaster, but what I really want to do is just ski and travel all the time. My husband is a structural engineer. So... he's really meticulous-like. But smart as a whip I tell...

    Best on-mountain lunch spot

Actually, when it's cold out we do tend to find an indoor spot to eat. But we always bring some grub. I'm hard-pressed to pay the prices at some of these places. I love Spring skiing because you can picnic outside. And of course those Killington Bay 1 BBQs w/ the zoners...fun times! 8) Sprite

Well, Just a Little Over 3 Months Now

Hey, are any of you considering early season turns out west? I have a lot of flyer miles, and am thinking that a long weekend is in order for our family if it pukes in Oct/Nov and things are looking cushiony. We went to Utah last early season. I'm thinking CO this year if nature cooperates. Sprite

After all these best and worst topics...

I really like this board, and I find a lot of interesting & ski-related material(gasp--imagine that!). Also this seems like a very nice group of skiers. Kudos to Greg for guiding it in this direction. Hope that if you ski at Killington next season you will stop by the 10am meeting spot and say...
