It sounds like the guy just underestimated Mt. Washington. After climbing a couple of 20,000 ft peaks, it's easy to think 6000 is nothing.

I don't think I'll ever ski Silvermine Ski Area, even though it looks fun and is close to where I live. Hmm.. on second thought, maybe I will ski it some day, but I don't think I could ever pay for a lift ticket there.
