With the heavy rains and poor visibility I decided on a waterfall hike. I hadn't been to Gulf Hagas for a few years so I thought it fit the bill. All the falls were gushing. The trail was sloppy at best with all the rain but hardly anybody on the trails on a showery day. Only bugs I encountered were at the parking area. Because of high water levels I hiked in from the Head of the Gulf trail On AMC property to avoid the ford. The hike is only a few tenths of a mile longer from here. 8.7 miles I believe. KI was not in the best of shape after all the rain and recent culvert work on Greenville side.
