[h=2]Coming for 2014/2015....Welcome Adirondack Express II![/h] We are excited to be replacing our Adirondack Express triple with a new high-speed detachable quad. The new lift will offer guests a smoother, faster, and more reliable ride out of our Base Area, and the new unloading zone near the Saddle Lodge will be lowered and restructured to provide an easier egress to the slopes.
Adirondack Express II has a capacity of 2,400 people per hour, 300 more than the previous lift. Padded chairs and eight fewer towers will make for an extremely comfortable ride, and the lift can operate almost 40% faster than its predecessor.
After unloading from the Adirondack Express, access terrain on Gore, Bear, Burnt Ridge, and Little Gore Mountains. Connector trails to facilitate getting around Gore Mountain's vast four-peak network of development, such as "Hedges" that opened last season, will continue to be added.
The previous triple was the oldest high-speed lift in North America, which made for complicated maintenance and part replacement. The Adirondack Express II project is enabled in part by increased investments in New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) facilities that were included as part of Governor Cuomo's 2014-'15 budget.
Other Improvements!
The J-Bar is getting a new "soft start" feature to provide an easier, more comfortable guest experience when the lift restarts in that beginner area. Permanent tower guns on the Topridge Trail have been prioritized.

It will be interesting to see whether they just lower the off ramp or really do change the location of the off loading area . Anyway another good thing at Gore . love that place !

So the triple gets replaced because its too old to maintain. Then what about the high peaks double? That chair is ancient!

Now if they could do something about the God awful slow North Quad. Would it be possible to just remove some chairs and run it faster? I think they should do a referb on the High Peaks Double, ala the single at MRG, a lot of character will be lost with that chair when replaced.
