After a rough start early in the season, conditions have dramatically improved at Whaleback. Everything was well covered this afternoon, including some natural trails on the west side that are very seldom open. Tickets were a very reasonable $20 and for much of the afternoon/evening, the chairlift was ski-on.

The upper lift line, not visible from I-89 (the mountain is bigger than it looks)

How are those bumps on the face. It's hard to tell as I'm driving by, but they look like they are still on the smallish side.

They are indeed on the smaller side, but were still skiing fun. There is a bump comp there tomorrow. It's fun to see the kids.

SkiRay - yes you do! There is much more to it than visible from the road, and as a community non-profit mountain we need everyone's support badly!

I will have to check it out Sunday and report in. I was only there at night yesterday so did not see - but heard the naturals had great bumps.
