9/23/07 Woot.com (GPS Deal)

Looks like a great deal on Woot today (9/23.) Garmin Nuvi 200 for $199. No bells and whistles like some of their other models, but it gets the job done. A good find for us skiiers.

I have this unit and it's great. Nice and small and very accurate. It should be noted that it is more of a car navigation system (which it does a good job at) than a GPS like you would use hiking.

Being the "go-getter" that I am, I'm currently looking into creating a "points of interest" file for in .csv and gpx format for the forum that will include NE ski resorts. This can be uploaded into the GPS. It doesn't look too difficult, it's just the matter of inputting coordinates for said resorts.
