Colorado ski town legalizes pot
DENVER — The Colorado ski town of Breckenridge has voted overwhelmingly to legalize marijuana. Early returns Tuesday night showed the proposal winning with 72 percent of the vote. The measure would allow adults over 21 to have up to 1 ounce of marijuana.

Still tough for the dealers unless they try to score sales one ounce at a time. I love the inherent hypocrisy even with these types of progressive localized laws, such as states legalizing for medicinal use, but you still need to buy them illegally even to use them legally (at least legally within the local jurisdiction which is over ruled by the feds). This topic gets me real fired up!!!

...and, I have never smoked in my life. Honestly.

Any ways, way to go Breck! Small steps forward, guess you can't change stupidity over night.

lived in Summit County during the Summer of 1993. If it was illegal then, it sure wasn't enforced.

Taking good friend that's been staying with me to Denver tomorrow to the clinic. The clinic is one of many that legitimately dispense 20+ different strains for cardholders @ up to 2oz a whack! His case he deals with chronic back pain and chose to leave percocet behind due to potential addiction. Weed works fine for him. Small but steady steps.

Edit-federal gov't is no longer getting involved in state medicinal weed laws hence the explosion of clinics and applications in the last few weeks.

We spent $2000 going to five different doctors and specialists last fall to try and resolve my wife's persistent nasua issues. The doctors hopped her up on every pill in the book, some with absolutely horrifying side affects.

Give her one drag in the morning, one at night......no problems.

..........okay, bowing out. I'm human, highly political by nature, but ONE MILLION percent think this forum is better void of political discussion.......and today has been the hardest day ever for me to restrain myself with the disgust I have for the my former home Maine.

zip it ryan, zip it

Good for you! The timing on that memo couldn't have been timed any better. Small but steady steps indeed.
