Not according to this. WAY more information then anyone should care about - but what the hey, I'm bored right now. According to this paper they had 20 hurricanes (didn't see how he defines a hurricane) between 1900 and 1990.

That said, the southern islands tend to get hit earlier in the season. Barbados peaks month are in June (??). Very few (maybe 3) have occured in the month of october over the entire last century.

The French are nice in the South.

No truer words have ever been spoken. I like to think it's because of the proximity to Italy and the mix of culture (and food!) We stayed at the Negresco in Nice. Their restaurant has a Michelin star. Nice is a quick train ride to Monaco and Florence (Pisa too)
