3D google maps directions

New (to me) 3D driving directions on google.

on the left panel click the 3D button and it drives the directions of the route.

Have found specific areas much quicker, visually with 3D first. Especially if one finds one's bearings on visual landmarks, like when up on woods roads...winding around small mountains and watersheds can get you disoriented. Many small mountains up here look somewhat alike, especially without a (directional fix)background spotting of Katahdin(for example), even with a fixed compass in the Xterra.
