The snow was hard, granular. The weather was cold today - maxed out at about 20. Sunny in the early morning, cloudy mostly for the rest of the day. Not really any lift lines to be annoyed by. First day of race program for the kids. Skied Wanatuska, Onteora from top to lift 7, and Dot Nebel. Not a bump to be found anywhere. Dot was only open from mid-station, but had the best snow after the morning. Kids were running laps of brush slalom on Dot in the PM. Upper trails were ice-rinks after lunch. It was Jimmy's Bellayre Ski Shop demo day, so I was able to get some fresh racing SL blades under me for a while for free. (Incidental review: if you like edge hold and real slalom ski tip hookup, take the Volkl Racetigers over the Rossi Classic.)
