Trip Report:
Part of the Views from the Top winter Gathering, I met up with a bunch of folks at Appalachia around 7:30 AM, we were on the trail by 8:00. Two other groups were headed up, plus a few 2's and 3's. We bare booted nearly the to the hut, then switched to crampons. Probably could have made it without them but why not?
Summit was clear and only slightly windy, but cold. Views were excellent. Kept crampons on for most of the descent.
Pictures HERE and HERE. My new digital camera (Canon SD300) performed flawlessly.
