Snow Conditions
  1. Powder
  2. Packed Powder

Skied Snowbird for two days after Alta and while there was no new snow that came down, both days were full of sunshine, packed powder, and hidden powder stashes within the trees. The first day we wanted to make our way over to the Gad lifts to ski the trees in that area which are great. We took the Peruvian lift up to Mineral Basin for one run then skied down Regulator Johnson making our way to the Gad lifts. I love Snowbird but it's interesting in the way that you could be skiing some mild terrain then all of the sudden a cliff drop comes out of nowhere. You really need to stay aware there. Anyway, after a number of runs in the Gad area my family skied back to the Lodge and I finished off the day skiing the back side of the Cirque traverse hitting both Barry Barry Steep and the Wilbere Bowl. Below are some pictures from the day......

Our last day, which was today, my family took the day off so it was just me out there. From the Peruvian lift I made the long traverse over to the front side of the mountain to the Gad lifts going all the way over to the Mushroom land and White Rabbit glades. It was kind a pain traversing all the way over there but it was more than worth it. That area has some of the best steep tree skiing that I've every done and there was still tons of powder in there. I then made my way back up to the Cirque traverse and hit the trees between Mach Schnell and Dalton's Draw which is probably the best glade line I have ever skied and it was still full of powder in there. After 9 days straight of skiing my legs are cooked! Here are my photos from today....

What’d you take those pics with? They’re great!
Thanks, they were taken by my Samsung camera phone. I did edit them with the Google editor and that is what makes the photos come out better.
