Today is the day the snowmaking started up at Loveland, while I cannot see any in progress at the summit due to the fog and snowy weather, the website says "snowmaking update" and there is already some natural base:spin:

You guys see the wind patterns across the country this morning? It's coming up off the Gulf and turns west after hitting cold air around Michigan/Ohio and heads south over Colorado. They're going to get pounded.

Snowmaking is occuring right now at Loveland and I can see at least 4 guns going in the live webcam. They see to have a fairly decent natural base to work with as well.
