A couple of pieces to this TR...A few pics are at the bottom. They were taken on a friends camera as mine is out of commission, and while the light was bright you should be able to see that skiing was pretty good if you avoided the moonscape wind-blown areas and stuck to the sides of trails and classic drifted areas.

Amen. True packed powder this morning on the open runs, the hoards got to
it by noon on the lower sections (choke points) when we made our last run
down it...at least I thought it was my last run. Once Allen called me weak
sauce I knew it was time to suck it up, get my gear together and head back
up. I then skied Bypass for the first time this season with Allen; not bad!
I definitely like skinning better than bootpacking, but it got the job
done. Lets just say I was glad I went...dropped that little rock on the
skiers left on upper Chin Clip, usually no problem, but dropped a couple
feet off the rock then dropped another couple feet into drifted champagne.
Instant ejection into piles of fluff. As long as you stayed to the sides or
depressions, the run was incredible with long areas of boot to knee deep,
low resistance powder...the stuff only Chin Clip can deliver after a NW
upslope episode.

Good vibe today, too. A vibe that comes from gorgeous weather (crisp but
bluebird after overnight snow), insanely caked/rimed trees, great views,
friends, and fine November skiing. Vermont rocks.

Last year and this year. Complete opposites with Oct/Nov snowfall reversed.
Get rid of the dump in October and give it to us when a lift or two opens up.

27" at the stake on November 24th. Only 13" till 40....

Little Hanna ripped!

A few little powder turns along the sides can even make cruising Toll Road fun.

You suck!

Man do I miss having Stowe as my home mountain. Sunday River served me okay last year, but it's simply not in the same league as Stowe and the other Northern Vermont areas.
