I'd like to take my 6-year-old son to see Like There's No Tomorrow when it plays at the Somerville Theater later this week, but it occurs to me to wonder if it's suitable for kids. Loud music isn't an issue; I'm more concerned about him picking up some unfortunate vocabulary. Haven't seen an Warren Miller film in about a decade, and that was before I had kids.

My kids were 3 and 8 when I started taking them. That was 4 years ago and we've only missed one (last year) since then. The language isn't too bad. There's nothing you won't hear in a PG movie.

I've probably seen at least 10 or 12 Warren Miller movies, and I cant think of anything objectionable for a kid.

don't take your kids, they will fall for the skiing and grow up and want to be skibums, working low pay jobs forcing you to chip in to their lifestyle, they will listen to loud music, smoke herbs of who knows what nature and say "DUDE" all the time. protect them ,keep them away from WM and all ski porn

^^^^^^^^ haha

Anyway any "new" language will come from the crowd. If there's two showings take them to the first one. The later crowd will be drunker and cussing like sailors. Then again isn't that part of life?

My 7 year old already wants to be a professional skier. He just can't decide if he wants Red Bull or Monster to be his sponser  On top of that, he's already doing the loud music and "DUDE!" thing. It's pretty funny to hear him and his friends:

"DUDE! Let's go play catch"
"No way DUDE. Let's go play Lego"

Saw this in Portsmouth last night and it was good, I thought. It has a yeti skiing in it and I think that says it all.

Saw it in Manhattan on Saturday. Any ski movie is decent I suppose, but I thought the quality of this one was way below what Warren Milller usually delivers. Of course, maybe that's because WM isnt really involved anymore?
