Hi Everyone- I'm in the market for a seasonal ski-mobile for under $1,100. I've got two older sporty cars, but they're not going to fit the bill this winter. In addition to Craigslist and sketchy used car dealers, I thought I'd ask around here.
If you've got something in the yard that you just don't use anymore or have a friend with a car their kid didn't want because it wasn't cool enough for highschool/college/getting babes- I'm interested in it!
Especially if it is:
- 4 door
- 4 door wagon
- small suv
- FWD a plus, AWD better
- UGLY- I don't care about dents, dings, poor paint, or rust so long as they don't affect the operation of said vehicle
- Good on gasoline
- Reliable and in good repair (don't really want to fix anything in the cold)
- Has a sticker/can pass MASS inspection
- Newish tires or snow tires are a plus
- Heat should work!
Autos I can think of that I'm interested in:
Corolla wagon
Camry wagon (do they exist?)
Accord wagon
Civic hatchback
Chevy Celebrity wagon
Buick Roadmaster (I know it doesn't fit any of that, but it'd be awesome)
Older subaru wagons
Older Volvo wagons (think V70 refrigerator on wheels)
Focus hachback
