Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface 11/15 passholders, 11/16 public

And Belleayre was excellent today. I'd post pics but I don't have a phone.

Stratton pushed back to Friday. And that is by no means a lock. Need cold air down low.

Mount Snow, or more likely the Southern VT Transportation Authority MOOVER bus system, posted that they have been told that it's Saturday, at the earliest, for Mount Snow and as such won't be starting their contracted routes through the private communities/condos, until atleast then.

Down low is going to be the issue as well.

Okemo posted on their socials this afternoon that they are actively in a push down low to get open as soon as they can, and their webcams show them making snow down near the base of Sunburst 6 today

Stratton waited until today to push back the opening date even though they (and we all) knew they wouldn’t have the temps last week to open on 11/27. Especially the way Stratton opens. They blow deep and edge to edge before they open. They have to based on what their clientele expects.

It was obvious a week ago. They waited so that people wouldn’t cancel lodging and other reservations.

I would imagine every place is trying to open Saturday for the Nov opening date. I’m sure it’s been quite a while since the snowmaking giants of SoVT weren’t open before December (besides 2020 Covid year)

Bromley opening date 12/7
The aerial picture they put up on their socials sums up the temperature challenges for so many ski areas right now quite well... Just a couple of decgrees cooler on the bottom 1/4-1/3rd of the mountain is all that would of been needed.....

It sucks that a lot of areas will miss out on Thanksgiving weekend, but with the way the long range looks these areas should all have a very good December. Hopefully we can keep the annual Grinch storm away this year.

Cannon is pushing for top to bottom on Friday.
Despite a very warm fall, the snowmakers have been making the most of the cold temperatures when they can. Thanks to their efforts, we will have top to bottom skiing this weekend off of the Peabody Quad, Cannonball Quad and Eagle Cliff Triple on Upper, Middle and Lower Cannon and the Links.

Heading out to Colorado tomorrow. Will ski at the new home Granby Ranch on Friday. Earliest opening ever for this smaller resort. Most likely Winter Park Saturday. Both are getting hammered as I speak. WP had Sunshine Express moving this morning outside Lunch Rock Lodge making me think terrain expansion this weekend is a possibility.

Right where I want to be
Their web report just said
We are keeping our eyes on storm heading for us on opening day and snowmakers are working to get us top to bottom skiing and riding for the 29th. Snow guns are pointed at Upper, Middle and Lower Cannon, Big Link, and Rock Garden

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
Very depressing seeing this thread. I just checked the 10 day forecast for Thunder Ridge and it was endless cold temperatures and snow chances for a week straight after the next rain event. So I can only imagine things will turn around for the East coast very quickly! The coastal resorts along the entire west coast just got slammed (we're getting decent scraps) but now we will be bone dry and warming for 10+ days it looks like.

Arrived Bromley late today - mid fall at base, mid winter at summit. Nice base from 1/4 on up. I am hoping my prediction of 6-10” on the hill comes to fruition as skinning will be sweet.
