I would like to ask how many skiers are nearsighted?

Are multifocal contact lenses already available as an option? Would they be very expensive? I’ve only tried daily disposable contact lenses before, but they only correct myopia and don’t address astigmatism.
I have graduated to multifocal contacts so I can read and see far!

I personally know someone who was one of that small percentage of patients who have bad results. He had to have a number of follow up procedures and even with that, there are some aspects of his vision that are still worse than before he had anything done. The risk is real.
Same here, it seems to be rare, but it does happen. I'll stick with the contacts for skiing and amusement parks. The rest of the time I wear glasses.

Yes I have disposable multifocal contacts. I'm fortunate as both eyes are the same prescription. I forget how much a box they are.

I like that I can see closely with my contacts, but because of the multi focal some of the far distance isn't as crisp as it should be. I actually played around with a few different prescriptions this fall but ended up settling on what we originally set.

When I was young I was near sighted but luckily as I got older my eyes improved. At 40 years old my eyes improved to 20-20. That was 28 years ago. Since then no more glasses. When I first started skiing I didn’t have contacts but switched in my mid 30s until 40.
