Not sure how good the surface actually is, but looks like the good stuff is 100% open and the stuff that's not open is just a couple random blues.

i have a high tolerance for low tide. im sure it will be to my standards.
also looks like some snow on saturday afternoon in the mix now. obviously when i need to drive across all of NH on route 2
that sun>mon noreaster is so close to being a thing. huggin the coast and out.

The only Burke tip I have is to ski the tbar line right after it stops running. On powder days there is a massive pow stash right down the line to the bottom.

Check the route if you're following GPS. I've definitely spent a bunch of time on gravel between Burke and route 2 at Google's direction. I found it amusing, but it probably wasn't the quickest way given it had snowed recently and I was driving a rwd van.
Yeah, GPS likes to try to route you over through Victory/Granby to Guildhall (or something like that) to get to Lancaster and Route 2. I'd avoid that. Stick to I-91 to Route 2, or better yet, I-91 down to I-93 over to Bethlehem, and then 302 to Route 3 and then take the connector up to Route 2 in Jefferson.

Primary roads over in Bethel are fine BTW. Only about an inch here. Here the groomers are nice, low angle off is ok, anything with pitch is crappy off grooms at SR. Will be out tomorrow and Monday ourselves.

Agree with Mach on current conditions @ SR. Better than I expected but need more snow for nats to shine. However - it is crowded! Wayyy more crowded than the last few MLK; usually there’s a blackout effect. Heard from an instructor that there were 11K people expected today

I basically skied everything once. I would have kept skiing but it was snowing pretty steadily and it was important to me to get to Maine before dark. Drive wasn’t bad but it was def a bit slow and cautious/active driving. I did 5 to 2 and only deviated from 2 for a little shortcut near the NH border, some covered bridge and back road for like 5 miles
Definitely some lines. They looked worse than they were bc the line goes uphill people basically are single file. It went fast. I don’t begrudge them lines on a holiday Saturday with snow when the ikon and epic crowds have blackouts. Glad to see them busy!

are the woods to skiers left of east bowl good skiing? There was one really tempting entrance but it was my first run of the day, no tracks, and wasn’t sure if I was signing up for bad bushwacks

I concur that the upper mtn skied great. Only the bottom 1/8 off the Sherburne had some crustyness. The line to get tix was way too long. 25-30 minutes around 9. Longest lines/wait time for the lifts I have ever experienced there. 15mins can only imagine what it was like further south or at Jay. Holiday weekend so …

Last time I was there was 2 or 3 years ago. I bought a lift ticket at the store inside the hotel. Anyone know if we can redeem an Indy day there? I avoid the main lodge if possible.

You can redeem at the hotel I was there around 8.35am and there was a desk right inside the entrance to the left Only 1 person ahead of me - redeemed Indypass in less than 5 mins.
