You'll have to be our man on the scene. I chickened out and stayed home today/ 18 Feb. Hope to ski tomorrow unless there are canyon closures.

Viewing Facebook, some of the roads are terrible. The mountain pass between Park City & Heber I've never seen look like that from the pictures.

Missing today was a blessing in disguise. Both canyons closed uphill with reports of multiple vehicle slide offs and busses getting stuck. Ran into a group of Solitude employees who couldn’t get a bus to work. I bet it’ll be awhile before some make it home.

edit: Alta closed at 2. Bird closed with reported 31” in 24hrs with 16” since 9am.

From the pictures, the pass from Park City to Heber on 40 looked like I've never seen it before. Just standing inches of snow on the road. I dunno what happened, but it was like it wasnt even plowed.

Well, I did say we were bringing it from snowy Vermont on our roadtrip out west. You’re welcome. 😋

no pics today. viz is poor when its snowing as o much. but I stuck to mostly peruvian side drops off of cirque traverse. lower peruvian runs were seeing very little traffic.

that was the most snow I've ever ridden in.
I heard gad 2 got closed after people were ducking ropes.
and people were dropping upper cirque too under the ropes

I fully expect nothing will be open tommorow

Glad you got some!
If the snow stops by midnight that gives them all night to work avi mitigation for the road and plow it. If the access road for LCC is open by 630am tomorrow then I would expect Alta/Bird to open on time or just an hour or two late, but only partial terrain while patrol works to make the mtns safe. BCC might be a better option tomorrow. That road seems to require less avi mitigation, but Sol/Bright could have delayed openings and partial terrain too.
If the snow keeps going much of the night, all bets are off. I haven't heard the word Interlodge used yet, which refers to a full shut down of road and resorts in LCC, and everyone must stay indoors at both resorts.

Correction: LCC closed approx midnight to 830am, so that means Alta/Bird almost certainly have some sort of delayed opening.

Didn’t even bother going out today still felt sick and not a fan of skiing during storms anyway. Will be at Canyons tomorrow for first chair should be a great day with less wind and actually able to see whats in front of me.

This is why we moved to Layton to ski Snowbasin. I do not have the patience to deal with the baloney skin tire crowd messing up a ski day.
