It that how IKON works, it's just a code you buy online with? With EPIC you have to be "present" to use the Vail buddy thing. eah, I'd be greatly appreciative for sure, as $102 for a day of skiing would be a great deal.
That’s exactly how it works. You just need an email address and a free Ikon Pass login.

BG's issue is that he is on the Wasatch Back. So it is a bit of a drive.

Yeah, this is the first season where having a PC only pass has really screwed us given the season's all but over here.
Having an IKON pass would have been a lifesaver, but in a normal year I wouldnt get the value out of it.

Just noticed this from Brighton, which I'm guessing is in response to Solitude's announcement yesterday:

Never been to Brighton (for skiing), and I'm not sure how they'll rule on EPIC, but assuming they honor this once PC closes, maybe we'll check it out in April once Ullr wakes back up.

Brighton has some decent terrain off of great western. Also skiers right off of milly.

Interesting. Isn't PC still open?

I like Brighton. Good mix of terrain, amazing night riding. It has a little bit of everything. The traffic and crowds have been an issue.

Small sample but no traffic when I was there in either scc or lcc. Powder days ? Different story. Not many of those this year.
The few powder days we have had and weekends after have been a madhouse but in general its been super slow in PC

Yes, that's why I'm saying once it closes, assuming they honor EPIC as a "closed" pass. But Park City's down to like 75 trails, and the only upper skiing is 9990 now. They closed McConkey's a few days ago, which seems like a money decision given it's higher altitude other places which are still open.

Dunno how much longer the place can take anyway, but the cynic in me thinks they will close as soon as possible. Like if there was an incoming 20" storm they'd probably immediately close beforehand. LOL

I doubt they'd give you a hard time. Your pass seems to meet the requirements since Laurel and other Vail places are closed. No reason for them to turn down the money and the opportunity to steal you away. I'd probably call first though, just to make sure.

I liked Brighton so much i bought a midweek pass for 619.00
The tree skiing is very good..
best part of the B- trees - all upper choices skiers left and right off Snake Creek, relatively steep- then undulating- then mellow. stays dry when Great Western gets sticky or hard. Top o Millie too- skiers right- almost as far as you can go on high traverse. The parking lot tailgating is also the best in the 'Tah - beats SB in that regard.

i like brighton but also feel it skis a bit short. like theres a saddle in the middle that kind of cuts the continuous vertical down
Yeah, with the exception of maybe Snowbird, most places in Utah do not have consistent pitch but rather a series of drops with flat spots and runouts. Brighton is no exception. The flat spot on the middle of the main mountain is a drawback IMHO.

I find snowbird to be the most exhausting complex mountain in utah by far.
I get bored spring skiing at alta..
S bird on the other hand is an all day affair.

it took me a while to figure out alta. like oh you just always need to traverse far out, and next lap, traverse a lil further maybe even around the back and oh wow theres a whole other face back here. devils, catherines, high traverse to greeley, and wildcat ridge. all are just about KEEP GOING. its why it makes sense to exclude snowboards.
