Burke Pond Skimming

I see there are a few people on this board who ski Burke. I have friends with a place up there and I usually make a couple trips each year. The one weekend I try to make every year is pond skimming weekend. Great atmosphere, weather usually is decent and it’s just plain old fun to skim across that pond. It’s not very fun to fall in 34 degree water but you only live once.

Will anybody from AZ be attending or skimming this year?

Nice! Have you skimmed in the past? I missed out last year but made it across the pond 5 times the year before.

I am trying to convince my wife to let me rent a ski in ski out condo that weekend. A warm shower is nice after falling in that water

HAHA nice dude! Actually that picture does look firmiliar. I'm trying to come up with ideas for a costume as we speak. If my boss would stop giving me work to do maybe I could come up with something.:angry:

Burke Pond skimming is awesome. Ya the the water's cold but you gotta think positive and they have a scuba guy to fish you out before the hypothermia sets in and kills ya', With any luck you get a few shots at it and the Big winner gets a season pass.
