According to USA Today, the Afghan tourist industry is trying to make a go of it.

Really? I mean, I wish them all the luck, since they've suffered enough in that corner of the world, but, still, I just don't see it.

Something tells me Killington's new owners will have better luck this year (maybe).

There's a guy on TGR who's looking to go to Iran to ski. At first I was skeptical but when I saw the pics of the mountains, it looked pretty nice.

Afganistan remains a waste of space in the wonderful world we live in... I commend the troops being over there in the 120 degree heat tracking down the piece of shit taliban, but I'd rather spend time in North Korea where there are making some effort for peace.

I don't think so... Mainly because there a s-load of other places I'd rather go where a segement of the polpulous DOES NOT want me dead for being American...

The mines are there to break up the ice.

I hear Powdr is doing that this winter at Killington... But they only trigger if someone has a pass from the lifetime deal...
