Having read a series of rave reviews on Ragged, my wife and I want to give the mountain a try but couldn't find any condo-style lodging nearby.
Ragged's own website only directs to inns and B&B (http://www.raggedmountainresort.com/lodging.php#nearby).
With two young kids, we have strong preference for a condo/townhome over inn/B&B.

I've done some research, and it looks like my closest option would be Lincoln, which is definitely doable but doesn't sound ideal because drive from Lincoln to Ragged is about 50 min, while drive from my home (metro Boston) to Ragged is 2 hrs.

Any suggestions on lodging?

support the cause, invest now in the phase 1 new cabins slated to be built on Spear and be sure to tell Bob Fries your preference for seeded mogul terrain. :daffy:

lodging near Ragged is quite sparse. Newfound Lake has some condo associations, but I'm not sure what they're like in winter. It's about 30 minutes away. Same goes of Lake Sunapee.

I did the same research myself a couple years ago and ended up staying at Lamplighter Motor Inn in New London. It is a motel but they have four studio unites equipped with kitchen. I must say it is very basic accommodation and nothing fancy but the price was right. It is about 20 minutes drive from Ragged. It is too bad that there are very limited choice for ski and stayi at Ragged mountain.

We stayed with a bunch of kids at the Hampton Inn in Tilton. 30 minutes away and it had a small kitchenette. A microwave, fridge, sink. Pool and hot tub. Plenty of family friendly restaurants nearby (Appleby's etc). We got two suites and they linked with a connecting door. They have a ski and stay package for both Ragged and Gunstock. Drove up and did Ragged (with Liftopia tickets). Did the stay and ski pack with Gunstock the next day.

Well, drove through Danbury proper for the first time today.
Yeah, after surfing the mud in my Scion xB out of the Ragged parking lot at the end of the day, I opted against the New Canada Road shortcut too ;-) ... we took that in the morning and it was rutted but still solid then.
