Pretty far out. Whenever I see old pics like this, I always wonder why there were so many more women back in the day that skiied. Was this because guys were in the military/wars? I'm admittedly shit-stupid when it comes to any type of history...

Ya there were a ton of women in those pics, picture #27 all i could think of looking at that slope and number of skis at the lodge is something never change

There have never been nor will there ever be more women skiing/boarding than men. There are more pictures of women because there are more male photographers. One more thing to remember is a lot of the old photos were staged for marketing purposes.

Cool photos . . . however, I'm not thrilled that "Vintage" refers to some of the photos that were taken way after I started skiing. Ouch.

There have never been nor will there ever be more women skiing/boarding than men. There are more pictures of women because there are more male photographers. One more thing to remember is a lot of the old photos were staged for marketing purposes.

i believe that indoor skiing "slope" used to be in newton, right around the corner from where i live now. cool pics

Not exactly sure what you mean. This is what I said:

There were not a lot of women skiing back in the day. I would think there are more women skiing/boarding today than in the past.
