Hmm interesting. I went to Sugarbush about a month ago and I wouldn't have expected it to beat Sunday River out...granted when I was there, the Castlerock lift was closed...Is the terrain at Castlerock really strong enough to push the Bush above Sunday River?

Other than Castlerock (which I didn't get to ski), the rest of the terrain seemed just OK at the Bush...maybe I missed something.

You likely missed Castlerock, Slidebrook, the steeps, bumps and natural snow trails at Mt Ellen and a lot of off the map woods. Add in an average of about 120+ inches more snowfall at Sugarbush and you can understand how it would beat Sunday River.

The left out New England ski areas Cranmore, Nashoba and Catamount ski areas. Probably others. Who picked this match up list? Mad River vs Jiminy Peak was just not fair.

unfortunately, you were at sugarbush with the worst conditions I can recall in the last 10 years. no natural snow terrain at all. and that is what the mountain is all about. you dont ski sugarbush for the groomers.

Sugarbush should beat Sunday River all the time.

I'd have a hard time arguing with Sugarloaf, Jay, Sugarbush and Stowe as the top four in New England.
