Hi Guys!
Looking for some advice on gloves. I know its a super subjective subject, but after my nice Scotts gave up the ghost last season (after having them for 3), its time for a replacement.
My extremities get cold very easily. Layering is a bible that I live by, and I'm in good physical shape, so there isn't much improvement in terms of blood circulation. The rest of my body, aside from fingers and toes, are usually just fine.
My previous glove was a Scott with a removable liner. They were very good until they started to tear between the thumb and first finger and then started to lose their water proof-ness and would get wet easily when skiing in the trees, digging for the buried beers & sandwiches, etc.
The best reviewed gloves I could find aren't produced/widely available anymore, and after 2 months of research and open internet tabs, I'm still at ground zero. I like these, but am not sold on them. http://www.backcountry.com/black-di...AWbLRx74gL8rMwxoCL_3w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds#review
Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of mittens (I like the dexterity for digging around for a pack for sandwiches, etc), but would be okay with a finger mitten. The glove will have to be very warm, windproof (ish), and water proof since we ski Wildcat more often than anywhere else. Price isn't a huge issue, but I don't want to spend more than $200. Hestras and Black Diamond seem alright, but the reviews don't have me feeling warm and fuzzy.
What suggestions have you guys got?
