Very good cold weather gloves- opinions?

Alright, against what I really want to do, the conclusion is to go mitten.
Decided on the Swany Arctic (toaster) Mitt and will pair them with liners should my fingers still be little bitches. It'll be my first pair of mittens, but hopefully they're dexterous enough for ski poles and backpack navigating.

I think all this talk of cold weather gloves is the cause of our utter and total lack of cold real cold weather in the East thus far this season....

The only remedy, is anyone who bought new cold weather gloves prior to this season, well you know what to offer up as a starting sacrifice to ullr!!
