    ....Killington = EPIC FAIL!!!!

    Epic FAIL indeed! We used SRT all the time to drop into the Canyon easily, avoiding the long lines at the box! > this particular terrain will still be accessible via the K-1 Express Gondola This sucks - long lines, a ride up in the box... We always loved the two "jerky turns" half way up...

    Current Conditions in Whites - Mt. Adams ?

    Can anyone in the Mt. Adams NH area report on current conditions ? Any snow yet ? If so, recommendations - bare boot / crampon / snowshoe. Thanks! (I know, it's the whites, anything could happen at any time, just curious about how it looks for the upcoming weekend)

    Northeast & New England Ski Resort and Ski Area Locator Map

    Some comments Nice job. Gotta love Web2.0 apps. great way to present the data. for early season skiers, can you color the peaks ? red - closed yellow - partially open blue - fully open or something like that ? it would also be useful if you included a summary of current weather...

    Recommendations for Ruck Sacks????

    I use the Dakine Poacher for year round use. 2300 in^3. Bought mine on sale so it was under $100. Also added a year round hydration unit to it...awesome combo. http://www.backcountry.com/store/DAK0128/DAKINE-Poacher-Backpack-2300-cu-in.html

    winter tires

    Winter Tyres My XC70 cane with Pirellis which I quickly realized didn't cut it for me. I've since switched over to Nokian WRs for year round use. Snow and speed rated. Great handling in all conditions. http://www.nokiantyres.com/passengercars_product_en?product=610503&name=NOKIAN+WR

    Your source for news while online.

    BBC I don't trust american media - too much bias. BBC seems to be neutral and to be much more thorough and concerned with news and not sensationalism. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi.html

    Do you lock your skies-boards?

    I always lock my skis. It's a byproduct of growing up in NJ :D Sue, a bolt cutter may take the lock off quickly, but I bet most thieves are looking for a quick pick. So the added delay may convince them to pick up the next set...not mine!
