In Ottawa we have a few hills near by so I usually ski every day for at least 3 - 6 hours depending on my schedule at the local hills. Otherwise its a planned day trips to each through the winter starting with; Mont St Anne, Le Massif, Placid, Killington, Tremblant, Mont Sutton, Loaf, Smugglers as the eastern choices or SnowBird, Taos, DeerValley then finish at Whistler if I'm still alive... I would like to get close to a 120 days every season.

This is going to be an abbreviated year. We got sucked into a non-skiing Italy trip the last 2 weeks of April. Three prime spring weekends down the drain.

New England:
30 at KMart
A day or two at Pico
A day or two at Sugarbush
A 3-day midweek Sugarloaf trip
Maybe a midweek powder day at Mt Snow if the stars align

West:
7 days at Monarch at the end of January
The odd midweek front range day when I'm on business trips to Denver
A couple of midweek April days at Vail for a benefit.
A few pre-Xmas days somewhere when we're in Vancouver. Mt Baker or, preferably, the Okanagan if there is snow.

Summer skiing:
I'm on the fence whether to do Chile again (for the 4th summer in a row) or to hit New Zealand. If it's Chile, it'll likely be 5 days at Termas de Chillan, a day in Santiago, and 3 or 4 days at Valle Nevado. If it's New Zealand, we'll spread our time between Mt Hutt, Treble Cone, The Remarkables, and Coronet Peak and go for 2+ weeks.

Depending upon how long the funds (and my wife's sense of humor) holds out -

Nashoba, 12-15 days (lessons and daughter's race team is here)
Wachusett, 3-4 days
Sugarloaf, 3-5 days (the new place we want to hit this year, XMas week)
Sunday River, 4 days
Pats Peak, 1-2 days
Gunstock, 1 day
Mt. Sunapee, 1 day
Cranmore, 1 day (a new place to try this year, we have two freebie lift tickets)
(daughter will pick up a couple more days at Bradford and Ward due to races too)

...and wherever else time/funds/weather allows.

Good question... depends on where I live.

There's a chance that I could be moving back out West (again) after only a year back on the EC. Gotta say, I think I'd be okay with that.

If I do stay in Brooklyn, I'll tell you where I won't be skiing--or at least buying a pass:
Mount Snow.

Even with getting more than my money's worth on my All-4-One pass, it felt like a waste. Certainly a lot of time wasted in the car, anyway.

So, I suppose Bellayre or Huntah? Where do you other NYC hoodrats ski?

Roundtop. man i used to go there every year when i would visit my cousins in lancaster. for a small hill, it had a couple of decent runs. Gunbarrel maybe, cant recall the names exactly.

For me, it'll probably end up being the usual suspects
Killington
Mt Snow
Sundown
Bromley
at least one day at magic
Got some available lodging in NH this year so Cannon is a very probable shot.
hopefully burke and mrg.

Keep me posted on the Magic visit. I really want to get back up there if they have decent conditions this year. Would also love to hit Cannon. Hook me up with a bed and I'll hook you up with a lift tic. Probably see you at the mighty Sundown for a time or two... ;)

We'll be at Catamount most Sundays (season passes bought in the spring, love that 199 price! :)
And then a week at Sugarbush, and a couple of days at Stratton, Magic & Bromley
Probably a few days at Whiteface/Gore too

I'll probably have a pass to catamount so i hope to ski there at least 20 days. I also want to get a few days in at hunter belleayre and windham. And i will probably get in a week in vermont and if things really go my way maybe a week out west.

So what mountains do you plan to ski most often this season? I plan to get in double digit days at Sundown. Depending on how many Wednesday nights I make and how good their bumps are this season, it may be as high as 15-20+. I also plan to hit Jiminy and Catamount quite a bit for close day trip options. Some more insane day trips will include Magic and maybe Killington. Really really insane day trips may include Burke and MRG. Extended stay in the MRV is in the works. Would like to still hit Cannon as well a weekend at Whiteface and the Loaf.

You?

Well, I did get in 15 days at Sundown. Didn't make Catamount, but hit Jiminy a few times. Got to Hunter more than I expected and got the drive down to 2 hours. I did make the insane day trips to Magic and Killington. A couple unexpected quick-hitter visits to the MRV as well as the entexnded stay. Didn't make Burke, Whiteface, Cannon or the Loaf.
