So was wondering Who was going anyplace this season that is a Large trip, Bookmark travel or Major trip on their Skiing and Boarding life. Basically anywhere not on the East Coast. What are your costs and travel burdens that you are bearing to make it happen??

This season's current big trip is out west to Whistler/Blackcomb BC Canada for 7 days for the first time ever. The week before and weekend of MLK weekend of January 12-19. Going Monday the 12th till Monday MLK January the 19th coming home. planning at this point to Ride 4 days. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. 2 Days of Monday travel, Tuesday to look around and EPIC is Blacked out Saturday the 17th only.

1-Airfare would be $530 round trip with 1 carry on and 1 checked Bag (Board bag & Boot, Helmet bag) but I am using points(27,200) and ($140 for taxes & bags). Non-Stop both ways on Jet Blue.
2-We have a Air B&B in Whistler Creekside village for 3 people. $1200 for 5days. Supposedly a minute or two walk to Creekside gondola. No idea what the SNOW Gods have in store lol. $375 per person for "5" days. 2 Bedrooms(including LOFT), 3 beds(Includes Queen Couch) and sleeps 4 not counting floor space. Apparently getting a cheap hotel on both Sundays in Vancouver.

We’re repeating a trip from last year because it’s so cheap and easy. 5 ski days in Idaho so one day at Bogus Basin and two days each at Brundage and Tamarack. Indy Pass covers 4 of those days and an Airbnb in McCall is inexpensive. Only issue is no direct flights to Boise from Boston.

Planning the same trip, what did you do for lodging?

You are all going to be amused. I am coming back east in two weeks. Skiing at Burke for sure and maybe a couple other spots. Please hold on to the cold air and all of the snow!

Not at all. My son comes home to ski from time to time. Last year we hit Killington together. This year his visit will be shorter due to work obligations but we will hit the Pocono’s for turns together

We're spending a week at Burke Mountain. They just opened today. Their issue has been low water levels for snowmaking, but they are moving forward.

May try to repeat our Chamonix trip 25 years later. Best time would be 2nd or 3rd week in March.
The pic in my avatar is me off the left side off the Aiguille du Midi in Cham..and about 20 yrs ago. Sickest decent of my entire life since..and I've skied all over the Alps.

Headed to Sandy, UT for 6 wks feb/Mar.
