I wish I could share your optimism, but

1) they don’t even know the full scope of what needs to be done yet
2) rising inflation / tariffs on steel, etc are almost certain to dramatically escalate costs
3) many in NH have anti-government spending “live free or die” philosophy
4) the family of the governor of NH owns a competing ski resort
+1 on point...no plan, no money....They've been trying to re-use stuff for years and vendors won't even bid! $40+ million for a new tram and there is no money no plan. Cannon has been bleeding money for a couple decades, the legislature will have to legalize weed before those old retire folks will vote this kind of money....truth hurts

Legalizing weed would make far more money for the state than the Tram and yet here we are..... watching all that tax revenue flow to ME, MA and VT.

I give it 5 years at best before we see new Ketchup and Mustard.

If all the structural equipment passes a review, just replace the tram cars and moving parts. Throw in re doing the concrete slabs. The building structres should be reusable.

Snowmaking moved to taft training on Thursday. Mountain is blowing taft, lower barons and dragons simultaneously this year. It is an impressive show of force.

Last year was taft only, took six days to cover it and mittersill was an island for weeks. Not sure if this is efficiency of the new guns or weather? Mittersill also got priority over rocket and Gary's this year.

FSC and holderness paid for guns and hoses. The guns are installed but the hoses are backordered. Snowmaking at mittersill is still using cannon water, air, staff and hoses. The long term objective is snowmaking independent from the mountain on TTS and barons.

Right where I want to be
Also what is aggravating with the tram is that they were running it the other day for who knows what. Probably to stock the cafe up there if they are opening that. So there is absolutely no reason besides saving money to not run it. They aren't working on it so...

See the peabody quad is on mech hold. That is the scenario that has been dreaded. No way to the top and no front five yet...
And they are blowing at mittersill for racing.
Its all about the $$$$ At least with the zoomer you could eagle cliff over to it when peabody is down. they sa 20 minutes what of its down long term like the zoomer was a while ago

Front Five is next after Mittersill is up and running for the racers. Extension and Bypass will also be going. Goal is to have these up and running by 12/20. Tram is running only to bring up personnel and supplies on a limited basis. Tramway board would not pass it for normal operation.

Tram was approved for 'non-revenue service' only this year. One trip up in the AM with staff and supplies, one trip down in the PM with staff and trash.

Mittersill should be done midweek, then they are moving to the front five. This is a change in priority from last year. Way I heard it was Jace believes the mountain should be an economic engine for the region, attracting higher profile races is the long term goal.

Peabody was back up and running this afternoon, heard some issue with a sheave.

Edit: the mountain is skiing excellent for early December, recommend getting out there this week.

Yeah, don't wear a seatbelt, insure or inspect your car too for all the state cares.....but that dime bag in your pocket? Hell naw
I got a 200 and something dollar ticket for not wearing my seatbelt from a cop on a motorcycle who also gave me a lecture on safety. I just pulled out from a gas station and didn’t put it on yet. He was older and middle weight. F that guy.
