Snow picked up and wind died down as the day went on today. Hit polar bear, grizzly, tamack and franks.. all in really good shape. Wind blown on snowbowl side so some boilerplate but still great for this date.

Unfortunately I don't think this is the Black Bear issue. This just happened this week while they were doing Grizzly and Tamarack. They were still working on it today.

Have a feeling it's bigger than just a simple pipe break on Black Bear as has been eluded to in previous posts here, and in the mountain's own snow report. Why wouldn't they be making snow in other areas of the mountain?Snow report update this afternoon notes the snowmaking issue would fixed tonight after lift close. These issues seem to be taking a long time to resolve. Anyone have any idea why?

the Sun Bowl trails have very little base and we feel it is best to close those trails for this coming week. The good news is that Black Bear is now open, knowing it can hold up to the lower weekday skier and rider traffic. Additionally, final snowmaking repairs have gone underway as of last night. Stay tuned for updates!
So they nuked their entire snowmaking system and decided not to tell anyone?
There was a post about Stratton snow-making in one of the Northeast skiing Facebook groups a few days ago. One guy (former employee maybe?) absolutely ripped the current snow-making manager apart and blamed him for all the current issues they're having.
