On a different note, I'm looking for somewhere to have a meal in the Village besides Mulligans. How's Benedicts? Bar 802? Any chance of getting a table during the day at any of those places on the weekends or holidays?

Nothing makes me sadder than walking through the Main Lodge and watching a family with kids sit on the floor to have their $20 tenders and fries for lunch.

Good day on the hill today, was able set first tracks in the 5” of fresh and then figure eight them the next run. Early bird gets the worm!

Yep, yesterday was much better than today, makes me wish I pushed it weds. Parked at the sunbowl today, needs a lot of snowmaking work there. The rain and the snowmaking system snafus left a lot of glaciers in places. Tomorrow looks like another today but with more people, last day before blackout. Glad I can take the bus.

Had to be a great day, I’m on blackout walkabout but my dog loved it at the sunbowl today.

great day today. i was worried about stratton on a holiday saturday but the blackouts made it very tolerable. could not get much further with the timing of the storm last night. 6-7" skied great. first day of flowing tree skiing for me this season. skied 30k+ vertical from 830 - 245. i didnt realize they opened all the sun bowl terrain until it was chopped up, but yea that was cool too.

im at a hotel in burlington now. im gonna go to bolton or burke tomorrw. monday looks like a sit-it-out. i am hoping the backside of the messy storm is snow at jay that can make tuesday fun

Bolton was really good today. Trees were skiing great.

I went to mount ellen for the early start and shorter drive home. Scrapping the next few days and gettin home ahead of the ice. Gonna see phish tomorrow, maybe ski the berkshires Tues/wed and then see how vt recovers from the ice for the weekend

Life is pretty good lots of skiing and fun

Props to Stratton for having chair storage rails and actually using them in an icing event. Looking at the webcams, they got all the detach chairs off last night, and were able to open lifts up quickly today.

They've always had pretty reliable summit access in less than ideal conditions. Vail should take note

If its not super crowded, some of the best days at Stratton are when URSA is the only way to the summit. With glades included, its like 20+ different ways down in privacy, powder lasts all day.

I always liked Stratton back in the day for that exact reason. During/after the storms you almost always have summit access while MT Snow down the road either can't get you up the mountain or if they can, the powder is skied off by 10 am

If it’s too windy for URSA, it’s too windy to be on the mountain. Hadn’t appreciated the storm worthiness of Stratton until I started spending >50% of my time up here. Nothing beats Magic in a storm, but URSA is close, and it’s open Monday-Wednesday.
