Yes off 94 Turns

People never cease to amaze me; all it would have taken is another idiot to be hiking the ridge.

That looks pretty good up there, not shocking since they supposedly got 9" at that elevation.

I was skiing with my little one on groomers, and it was okay, but I have to say I expected better. I feel like they groomed flipping everything that could possibly be groomed, which, I guess is a self-preservation move given how little snow we had.

They definitely got more than 9” at the top 1000’ or so but once you got below that there was a huge drop off. Going from 9990 to Red Pine Road was like two different worlds

Yeah, I went into Pinball Alley, and I'm thinking maybe 6"? That was the best spot I was today.

Where are those aspens?

Hard to describe but its OOB and easy to miss cause of how the terrain funnels you. If you ever run into me on the mountain I can show you. But its off 9990.
And yeah Pinball alley was like the bottom of where a decent amount of snow fell any lower and it was a few inches at most groomed into oblivion.

Finally made it up to Alta after the canyon opened..albeit later in day. Was pretty juicy.

Alta was nice yesterday. Very busy. I did the favorites off the High T. Somehow I missed the 3, yes 3, emergency helicopters that landed at Alta to take people who were badly hurt. I heard multiple reports of someone who "fell" off a cliff under Sugarloaf near Tower 19. Additionally, one 19-year-old skier hit a tree on Nina's and later died. Very scary. Take it easy out there.

No problem at the Bird- locals said deepest snow of the year ( at one time I have to assume)
Plenty of waist shots and more than a couple face shots. Steeper was only way to go.
1st 30 chairs on Peruvian and deepest last tram on Rats Nest at 3:30. Trees were a must for definition.

Alta was very good Thursday- Catherine's w my daughter 2x had no scraping under new snow.

Always the best week of each of last 6 seasons. Just don't tell anyone.

I am doing the 'Bird tomorrow before heading back east. I had held the day to potentially do a Deer Valley day (as my pass has two), but Little Cloud is calling my name. Additionally, I pretty much took out a mortgage to ski at Alta AND Snowbird as opposed to two meh days at DV.
