Date Hiked: 8/25/12 - 8/28/12
Trails Hiked: Russell Pond, Wassataqouik Stream, Wassataqouik Lake
Total Distance: ~25 miles
Difficulty: Easy - Moderate
Conditions: Sunny, Some light showers on the hike out
Special Required Equipment: Trekking poles, Overnight Camping Gear
Trip Report:
The trails in and out of Russell Pond area are in good shape. Relatively dry and the Wassataqouik stream crossing is fairly low as typical this time of year. We hike in primarily to fish the ponds in the Russell area and had good luck this year. For those looking for a more detailed description of the hike into Russell Pond and out trip to Wassataqouik Lake & Green Falls you can visit my blog post.
