Wasn't going to go this morning but the mountain called so got up early redid the driveway and went off to PA. CBK got around 15" (some said 20 but I'll stick with 15). They groomed maybe 1/2 the mountain but there were some pockets of shin to ankle deep uncut. 1st powder for me in 2 seasons (got none last year on either side of the country). Not Utah light but nice enough. Spent the morning playing on and several places off the trail. Lots of fun and trashed the legs pretty good. The moguls were buried good but the crowds were starting to come as I left and by the end of this weekend the bumps should be plenty good and big. Right side of Cliffhanger was left ungroomed so maybe we will see some there too. (note to CBK management, there are no more events scheduled for Cliffy so let them grow.) Mountain is in fabulous shape.

I noticed that too! I believe Camelback perhaps now holds the "Biggest Liers on the East Coast" award.

They do all SORTS of shady crap, like that time when a big storm was slated to come through earlier this season and dump a foot of snow or so, but it wound up being a swing-and-a-miss for the Poconos unfortunately, well they simply didnt update the website in the morning. Let em' think we got big snow. LOL. My assumption is their director of marketing is someone fairly old, at least >= 50, who still hasnt grasped the concept of the internet age and social media. It's no longer productive for mountains to lie their azzes off, and in fact, I think it hurts them.

Disgraceful. Literally puts a sad face on me just reading that. Shawnee groomed all their blacks (term used loosely) and only allowed bumps to form on Tecumpseh. Ridiculous.

Well, I like groomers. If you wanted ungroomed you should've gone to Plattekille! 90% left natural and lots of and NO crowds at all. Part of me wishes I'd gone to Camelback (especially since a deer ran into my Jeep on Rt. 30 outside Roxbury on the way home from Platty) but I was concerned about crowds and and with the ice/sleet mixing in in the Pokes so I wasn't sure if it was going to be as good as up north. Up north was incredible if you like powder. Snowed all day too. :snow:

I don't disagree with you about the website and marketing. The person who said 20 was not with mountain, I actually don't know what the mountain said they got. I skied it. Friday was good but Saturday was off the wall and I need to write a TR about it. Saturday they got an honest 8-10 of fluff. Believe me when I tell you many spots ungroomed and uncharted territory skied.
