    Burke

In this thread I noticed a few of you recommend Burke. This is one of the few mountains in the northeast that I have not heard much about. What is there to know about Burke?

Which mountain(s) will you make your turns at this holiday week. I will be at Plattekill for the next 10 days or so. Possibly a Windham or Belleayre day mixed in.

    Favorite Park Feature

I know there are not a lot of terrain park lovers on this board but what is everybody's favorite feature in a park? I personally am a fan of step downs but enjoy a variety of features. I have not gotten into rails that much.

    MRG closed today

It looks like todays weather got the best of Mad River Glenn. They have decided to close for today and from the looks of it possible for longer. It did not look that bad when I drove by there yesterday. Hopefully this warm spell and liquid precipitation will end with cold and snow soon...

    Hairline core crack repair

I just picked up a Burton Canyon 162 for $30. I figure It will make a great rock board. It does have a very small hairline crack of the core near the tail of the board. The top sheet is lifting up just a bit. Pics to follow later. The edge near the crack is not bent at all but I am afraid if...

Never Summer Legacy vs Burton Canyon

I am looking to pick up a new (used) board. I am torn between the burton canyon that I have been drooling over since 2003 (the one with the eye graffix) or this years never summer legacy demo. Any input?

    Bumps on a board

I know a lot of snowboarders out there despise bumps and will go around them at all costs. I happen to enjoy bumping on a snowboard, however I don’t see many other snowboarders try and tackle moguls. Anybody else out there like to charge a bump line?

You are first chair and everything is groomed perfectly. What do you go for?

Steeps? Cursers? Park? The hell with the corduroy duck into the trees? Grooming Sucks? I personally like to hit up a groomed steep and lay down some GS carves.

    New Mexico Snowboarding

Sometime in February I am going to be taking a trip to Santa Fe. Among other things I would like to get a decent amount of riding in. Does anybody have any opinions on the resorts out there? For obvious reasons Taos is out. How are some of the other resorts in the area: Ski Santa Fe, Angle...

    Plattekill

I am very impressed with the recent snowmaking effort. From the webcam and pic of the day today it looks as if there is decent coverage on the face. In previous years this would have taken the good portion of a week under prime conditions. They have laid down this cover in 2 ½ days. The new...
