Yeah I saw Lou's review as well. Admittedly this was part of the reason I bought them.

I can't emphasize enough, however, what a big difference there was between these and my other skis. I noticed it immediately.

Ever since I got the the updated heel-riser screws the Onyx has been excellent. On the older models, the heel risers are notorious for coming off and getting lost. If you contact a dealer they can provide the new risers and screws free of charge which will solve the problem.

Otherwise, they've released when needed and the only premature releases I had were caused by stepping on the heel release lever while doing moguls or getting my skis crossed. (Otherwise known as "insta-tele")
