Each tower on the Whiteface summit quad has a different sign mentioning the ski areas that you are currently rising above, so there may in fact be a sign trolling Killington on the next tower (MRG and Stowe lifts both top out at around 3600 feet)Weird that they targeted MRG…
Why not Killington?
According to Tremblants own website, their vertical is 2116 feet, so Whiteface’s sign is actually being a little generous. And the sign is only comparing the vertical of these other places to the summit of Little Whiteface, which is 710 feet lower than the top of the main Whiteface Summit Quad. The Mont Tremblant info looks incorrect.
For some reason I was taking those as summit elevations instead of VD, my bad.According to Tremblants own website, their vertical is 2116 feet, so Whiteface’s sign is actually being a little generous. And the sign is only comparing the vertical of these other places to the summit of Little Whiteface, which is 710 feet lower than the top of the main Whiteface Summit Quad.
