How much capacity does the center of that mtn need? Seems overkill if a high speed lift
So I did a little digging. Apparently Fabyan Express is closed if not gone. Someone on LiftBlog from BW is saying that they are replacing Bethlehem Express in a realigned route. What that is….?

And I think that the Bethlehem Express was my first detachable quad ride. Fabyan was my first triple chair.

Rumor I’ve heard on lifts at BW is the Bethlehem is being replaced with a new HSQ. Also the footprint will be different, shortened a bit on top and bottom. Don’t take that to the bank, just bar talk.
This is what Im hearing as well, the old lodge at the top of the bethlehem is being taken down. new lift will end around that area or sl below. triple is being removed
in the spring.that triple was SLOW !

Full Ikon, Indy and my homeowners Granby Ranch Pass. With the addition of Tenney to Indy, and the hope of a winter similar to this one I going to make an attempt to ski the original Ski 93 (Tenney, Waterville, Loon, Cannon and Mittersill)

Locked in three of my four passes so far, just waiting on Jay Peak to release theirs.

Assuming Jay stays about the same, I'll be in for $119 at Dartmouth Skiway, $319 for Indy+add on with my Dartmouth pass for $319, a Midd Snowbowl pass for free (spouse pass), and a Jay pass for $799. All in I should be at about $1237 and I should get about 75 days. Not bad at 16.50 a day. I've had a couple years at under 10, but the Jay pass is worth it for the pow days even if it makes my per day average a bit higher.

The real deal is my 4 year old. Gets a free tickets to basically everywhere (Jay pass includes a kid pass for him). I think Pat's charges for kids on weekends but otherwise he skis for free all year. I think Jay has one of the best beginner / kids setups out there where it feels like you are skiing the whole mountain to a four year olds eyes so is worth it for that alone.

It was a real mistake to choose Princeton.

Obviously EPIC, but I think I'll get myself an S-card next year just so I can hit Sundance maybe 3 days or so. Underrated gem.

Very slow! But never crowded! Great for holiday weekends you could lap it never waiting in line.

I didn't have the brains / grades for Middlebury or Dartmouth. I went to Skidmore for a year and you weren't allowed cars living on campus the first two years. I skied West Mountain once on a school van trip and that being pretty sub par skiing compared to what I was used to plus me just not being ready for college lead to me dropping out. Took two years off and established residency in VT and went back to school at UVM with in state tuition. Saved tens of thousands over Skidmore and got to ski mainly Stowe 50-60 times a winter. I scheduled classes either Tu/Th or M/W/F for winter / spring semester. Lived in Stowe half that time and commuted to Burlington for classes

not free even. just like at all as a life priority. at 17 i wanted to go to a city school. i cared more about jambanding than skiing. for some reason i became enamored with GWU and applied early, but it was a safety school for my grades and resume, so it was stupid for a few reasons. i had a 1500 sat and a high 90s gpa with hockey and student orgs and all the shit. i should have at least applied to better schools. and if i could go back in time, id apply to dartmouth and middlebury and try to go to an excellent school that also had proximity to skiing. i guess some random poster on here who i dont even recognize considers that hubris? cool.

my entire life would be spent in a city, and it would have been nice to get 4 years of not city + skiing

Not all 18 year olds have the vision to see the rest of their life. That's not a fail. Also that's another era, no internet, no google. Researching universities aren't just a few keystrokes away...

What I thought rest of my life would be like at 18 has no resemblance to what turns out. I probably "should have" gone to a better school, only because I had the grades to do so. It most likely would have made some difference in my career path. But I don't know if it would have made my life "better".

Hmmm, now you have me thinking. I totally forgot about the VT 4 pack. That could help me early season where Indy is deficient and also get to the others you mentioned. I also have never been to Bromley. It remains the one mountain in New England over 1100 vertical I have never skied.

I want to check out Bromley as well. My wife has a VT gold card through work so we should check it out someday, but it falls into that just far enough away category that we always just end up going to Jay instead.
