Belleayre and Killington/Pico season pass for me next year. May spring for the 3 in 1 for NY, but doubtful.

I've had the Beast 365 pass for 3 seasons and have yet to visit any Ikon areas. Just a waste of money for me. I've learned I'm not interested in having access to all those places and just prefer going to the places I like most. That'll save me $600 right there.
I kind of agree. Stratton is out of the way for me and Sugarbush is too far of a schlep. Really wish Okemo & Killington were on the same pass like the old ASC days. If I'm spending the extra $500 for the Beast 365 I feel I'm almost better off spending an extra $200 and getting the Epic since I literally drive pass Okemo on the way to Killington. I think the Killington pass + Indy is a better option if I want to ski different places and it's cheaper than the 365 pass.

I bought the Killington spring pass this year & I get to roll what I paid for it into the Killington pass which is a really nice deal.

I don't remember Okemo being on ASC. I recall that VT ASC was Snow, Killington and Sugarbush. Okemo was still being run by the Mueller's along with Sunapee.

Agreed. The Mueller's owned at least a majority stake in Okemo from the early 80s until they sold to Vail. I don't recall them being on ASC either at any point during that time.

Something doesn’t smell right.

The article is talking about reduction of flight capacity of last year! Up to October 2024 to be exact. That’s BEFORE Trump was elected.

So, whatever the reason for reduced travel between US and canada, Trump isn’t it.
Nope, they are talking capacity trims through this coming October 2025 due to slacking demand. You misread the article I think.

But it’s disconnected with the posts in the thread.

Clearly there is some Canadian anger to tariffs (it's going to hurt their country like 1000x more than us).

But to not understand that before the last quarter, the Canadian GDP was dismal for 6 consecutive quarters (i.e. 1.5 years), Canadian unemployment is currently high versus normal, and that the CAD/USD rate is literally the worst it has been since Apple released iTunes & Microsoft released Windows 2003, is to naively swallow a narrative that is being force fed to you like a foie gras duck.

Are you saying the article said that? I didn’t read anything along that line! So who’s the one that got fed the fore gras?

Or you already got an agenda, and is looking for anything an everything as “support”

No. You're really not following along very well.

Also, I don't need, "an article" to understand the current status of the Canadian economy.
I follow the threes fine. It’s the article that has nothing to do with it. And as you admit, you didn't find anything useful with the article either, Just like I said earlier! :)

We have dropped Epic for the first time in 5 years. Not really due to complaints with them but just have used less past couple years due to kids (non skiing) sports commitments and now they both counts as teens rather than kids it became hard to justify. We have done Indy so we can get some local days in. Looked at Ikon but can’t justify for the amount we ski now, and limited eastern options over holiday periods on the base pass. I wish Ikon had an unlimited unrestricted option in the east. I know Tremblant, but something closer!

Renewed my Indy mostly for Jay, Cannon, Waterville and Saddleback. On fence between Ikon and Epic but leaning Ikon again because of Sunday River and Sugarloaf. Once I decide where out west I want to go, I'll pull the trigger.

Pico + Indy. This year had both plus Epic NEV. I have a place right near Sunapee but will drop to a few Epic day passes for convenience. Pico gives a decent discount at K outside of peak days and Saturdays. The five included Pico guest passes were only $63 a day, so it is like a family pass for my less enthusiastic skiing spouse. Free kid per adult pass too but that is not an issue for us.

Pulled the trigger on my Cannon senior pass and Bronze New England Pass. Will wait till June to get the Killington senior full pass.
