Active suspension ski's - WTH?

I actually saw these for the first time while skiing with ABC at breckenridge.

Seems like the concept is that by maintaining ski to snow contact, the learning curve of picking up the sport is reduced.

By maintaining balance in the backseat it could see it enabling bad habits though.

Been around for years. They were about 10 years late to the super sidecut party, if they came out in the late 90's they might have been a big deal.

Wayne could ski like that on hockey sticks.I actually think this is a good idea....for fast snow.Powder,not so much.The concept has been around a lot longer in the form of different dampening gadgets like the pair of Salomon X scream I had.

So that's what those things are? My dad has those on his latest pairs of skis (he rarely skis now). I guess I'm not up to date on ski technology, even if it was a fad
