Other good ones:

There's a lot of good stuff out there. Once I got my mind out of the 'go into advance and get something off the shelf' mode, and saw what was online, I was amazed.

For instance: ECS has at least 15 different types of brake pads for OEM application, and that number gets to 4x or 5x when you start considering all the upgrades you could do... It's crazy... Pretty cool, but WAY tempting to spend money.

I still want to have an Audi 4000 or 5000 project car....

I have designs on having an RS2 as a project car eventually... have to wait a bit before I can even import one into the US though...

Probably a pipe dream, but it's a fun pipe dream.

That's who I usually use. They have fast shipping to CT too.

Thanks to this thread I remembered to order some stuff for my car. Placed the order yesterday and it's out for delivery today.

Sorry to bring this thread so far off topic. My Mom had an Acura Integra for a while which she seemed to really like. She didn't have any sort of major problems with it that I remember, except for her breaking the rear wing off one time. I rode in it a few times and was very nice.

cc,

i have an '06 TL 6 speed. it has around 42K. i bought it with 100K warranty. it is worth getting. i have no problems with it. the rear view mirror was shaky several months ago. acura replaced it. voice activated blue tooth acted up, acura replaced it. i get about 24~26 miles per gallon. the only thing i don't like about it is that it's front wheel drive.

Do you do any work yourself?

That's how I stay sane with my Audi...

I did the brakes all the way around (pads and rotors) for under $300... bought stuff from www.ecstuning.com

ModuleMaster.com will rebuild your ABS module for about $300 and they have videos and instructions on their website to show you how to take out the module and put it back in...

There are options out there to save the $$$, and for me, I enjoy driving my Audi much more than any other car I've owned or driven for an extended period of time, and I like doing the work also, so it works out for me.

I've actually found the Audi to be pretty decent to work on as long as you're patient and have the right tools... Moreso than my girlfriend's Ford or my old Pontiac.

I think the key here is actually enjoying working on cars. Some people do, some don't. I've done my share of brake pads, plugs and few other odd things. I couldn't be bothered. As great as Audi's are to drive, they're not great enough for me to want to shell out big bucks or learn how to fix everything.

Then again, when it comes to food, something I enjoy working with, I'll buy whole animals or muscles and break them down into various things saving me hundreds of dollars each year.

People make time for the things they enjoy and figure out the least expensive way to do those things along the way.
